110th Annual Meeting of the Carolina Baptist Association was held on October 10th at Bethany Baptist Church. Rev. Robert Lewis gave a great welcome to all in attendance. The title of the meeting was “Look Up” and scripture reference came from Luke 21:28 KJV. Rev. Jimmy Floyd brought the message from this scripture plus Psalms 121:1-8 and it was a powerful message. Mrs. Lorraine Howard was not able to be the special guest singer for the meeting but Rev. Mike Kinlaw stepped up and presented several meaningful songs and he did such a beautiful job.

Moderator for the next two years is Rev. Jon Johnson and Vice-moderator is Rev. Jimmy Floyd.

One individual that the Association will miss is Mrs. Renee Kinlaw. Renee resigned the last of February to pursue another career. She was Ministry Assistant for 17 years and knew the job very well. We all wish her well and hope she enjoys her new job. Mr. Bobby Fowler’s term as Moderator ended in September and he was very knowledgeable and concerned for the Association. We will also miss him and hope him well this coming year.
